The Elfin Mono 1966 Mk 2C has now SOLD!
This magic Elfin Mono 1966 Mk 2C has an excellent period history and is a well-known and successful HSRCA competitor.
The car, Elfin Mono 1966 Mk 2C. Chassis # MC6652, was originally raced in Formula 2 by Australian Gold Star Champion John Walker. It is one of the last Mono models and features all of the development and refinements that the Mono underwent.
It was recently restored by its current owner, and has been developed to a level at which it now holds many outright lap records in historic racing.
MC6652 features a Ford Twin Cam 1600cc engine built (with new cylinder head) and maintained by Superior Automotive and Peter Molloy. The motor is finely balanced to put out its highest potential horsepower, while still being reliable and driveable. Its power goes to the wheels via a new Hewland 5-speed FT Mk5 gearbox with LSD.
